HMAS Brisbane Dive Report 18 - 25 August 2011
We are certainly enjoying the best of winter diving at the moment.
What a week we’ve had. Some fantastic diving, many great encounters with marine life on the HMAS BRISBANE. Water clarity has hovered between 10 to 20 metres and water temp fluctuating between 17C and 19C.
Check out our facebook site, www.facebook.com/Blue Water for the vision Matt took with a little Olympus digital camera on Saturday.
Mudjimba Island and the Caves on the Inner Gneering Shoals both delivered viz up to 15 metres through the week.
Reports from the Tonga trip keep flooding in. Some very excited divers returned from that trip. Those I have spoken to are still on a high after their close encounters of the whale kind.
We still have one spot available for the Santo trip in October and keep your ears to the ground for our overseas trips for 2012. We should have details available soon.

HMAS Brisbane Dive Report 10 - 17 August 2011
We are certainly enjoying the best of winter diving at the moment.
Check us out on Facebook (facebook.com/Blue Water) and you will see that the water truly is clear. We’ve enjoyed visibility ranging from 10 to 30 metres over the past week. Water temp has also varied down to 17C and up to 19C at times. Up to 12 huge Queensland Grouper were seen on the HMAS BRISBANE at the one time, large schools of various species of fish are also hanging out at the wreck.
Murtle the turtle has been joined by another friend and it seems that now 2 turtles are making the HMAS BRISBANE home.
The reports from the group over in Tonga are glowing. Photos of their experiences can be seen on Facebook and the diving there looks to be outstanding.

HMAS Brisbane Dive Report 2nd - 9th August 2011
Whales, whales, whales. It’s a regular thing on dives lately, to see whales on the surface and to hear whales while on the dive.
It is just a great experience. 20 metre viz was the norm on Sunday and conditions look fantastic all through the week.
Absolute calm conditions today and this should hold for the next couple of days with great conditions still being around for the weekend as well.
Check out our facebook page for pics of diving on the HMAS BRISBANE over the weekend.
